Glass made jars perhaps to most people may just seems to be simple thing for us to store anything from dried foodstuffs in our kitchen, up to where we put all those small things in our room into this uniquely simple formed of glass made jar. But Ball jars are different.

These jars are those made by Ball Brother Glass manufacturing company, a company which made a mason glass made jars, which used to be made in Buffalo, New York state. The topic of antique Ball jars is about how people fascinated by the fact that Ball made glass jars are collectible item too and to find how old your Ball jars is something serious.

The question is, how old is your Ball jar is something that tickles something in my mind, ever since I found some old Mason jars in my mom’s house just couple of years after she passed away. After some incentive and excessive researches over an internet, I found that myself had to be surprise with facts that the history of my antique Ball jars is actually came far ago, nearly 150 years ago when the Ball Brother glass manufacturing company made their first glass canning industry back in 1884.

I determine to find out how old mine are and this is something interesting to me to find out and realize that some of them may seems to be those early edition this company made back then.

Based on some reference that I found over internet to determine how old my antique glass jars are, there are codes which planted on the bottom part of these antique Ball jars which were frequently changed or adjusted for some reasons until 1962 therefore from this point, we can find out the exact year my individual antique Ball canning jars made of.

To my surprise, after cross checking and matched with the list, I can now convinced that some of my antique Ball jars are those came from some early editions of Ball Brother glass manufacturing company ball glass jars.
